Long awaited and anticipated - here it is!!!

BOSTON CARIBBEAN & REGGAE MUSIC SCENE

SPOTLIGHT ON ARTIST:ABSOLUTE LOGICS
NEW ALBUM: ENDEMIC by ABSOLUTE LOGICS

First, I want to say HELLO and welcome to Boston's Caribbean and Reggae Music Scene Blog. By popular demand, the purpose of this blog is to keep everyone informed of what's going on in and around the City of Boston in terms of reggae music and the caribbean community news.

My name is Lady Lee. I am a reggae artist, I am a DJ for Mega Roots Energy Sound and I host a reggae music radio show every Sunday, from 7-9pm at www.105vibe.com, Vibes Radio Online. I was born in Barbados, and was raised and live in Boston, Massachusetts.

My mission is to bring the world closer to the long running reggae music scene in Boston, Massachusetts. For over 20 years, this scene has been very alive and thriving because of the vast number of artists hailing from all over the caribbean, who reside in Boston. For instance, there's Jah Bless, Silva Duss, D'Arryval and Journalist Bandoo from Jamaica, there's Diamond Plus from St. Croix, The Virgin Islands, Ernie Lee & myself, Lady Lee from Barbados, Trinity Children of Man from Haiti (Haitian decendents), among other.

Boston also has a large number of DJ's and club that feature regular weekly reggae music and live performances, given the number of bands also on the scene here in Boston

Recently, Boston has seen a bunch of new reggae radio stations, namely Vibes 105.3 FM -
www.105vibe.com, Big City Radio & Choice FM. Many of the DJ's who have regular club nights have transferred their skills to the airwaves and has raised the level of caribbean music hitting the air in Boston - music ranging from dancehall reggae, roots reggae, lovers rock, soca, calypso, ragga soca, zouk, hip hop/reggae cross over music and much more.

ENDEMIC by ABSOLUTE LOGICS

Brand new reggae music album completed and ready for release in Boston. The Jamaican and caribbean community in Boston boasts a huge variety of reggae styles and artists.

Today, let's take a look at Absolute Logics and his new album ENDEMIC.

Absolute Logics hails from Jamaica, and resides in Massachusetts. This albums shows the versatility of his skills and, the way in which travel and a change of home location can influence your world view, your expression and your sense of style. This album features Absolute Logic's rap-reggae style over hip hop and reggae beats.

The great accomplishment of this album is that he wrote all of the songs and produced most of the music in collaboration with Mike Carrera of Berklee College of Music. Big props to Absolute Logics.

Catch him live for the first official Album Release party on Saturday, February 20, 2010, which is coupled with me, Lady Lee's Birthday Bash at Lorenz Island Kuisine & Function Hall, 657 Washington Street, Dorchester, MA 02121
